Kogi BBQ Truck Stolen from Culver City Parking Lot

Last updated:

The team at Kogi BBQ, purveyors of Korean fusion favorites like the short rib burrito, needs your help. This morning, a Kogi delivery truck was stolen from a parking lot in Culver City.

Kogi alerted the public to the theft this morning, tweeting, “Our reefer truck was just stolen.” That apparently means a refrigerated truck, not a truck carrying cannabis. The truck disappeared sometime after 11:15 a.m. from the parking lot of the Alibi Room, a Culver City bar that features Kogi BBQ items on its menu.

The Culver City Police Department verified a report of a stolen truck but said there have been no updates so far.

According to Kogi, the truck is a 2002 Isuzu NPR. It features Kogi’s logo on the side, which is painted orange, and its license plate number is 6L99895.

Kogi founder Roy Choi also shared the tweet adding, “Who steals the Kogi truck?!”

Who indeed?

A week ago, Happy Ice founder Lemeir Mitchell reported that one of his trucks went missing. Luckily, Mitchell said people on social media spotted the colorful truck on the side of the 10 Freeway and let him know.
