Sorina Szakacs is a nationally recognized award-winning journalist now based in New York City. Locally, she reported for a community newspaper, the Los Feliz Ledger, where she covered COVID-19’s impact on surrounding communities in Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Atwater Village, Echo Park and the Hollywood Hills.
She graduated from Los Angeles City College with six AAs, including two in journalism. She is currently pursuing her B.A. in English and creative writing at Columbia University. She was born in Targu Mures, Romania.
