A day of mostly free screenings at the Egyptian Theatre offers us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the creative filmmaking that transpired during the Weimar Republic of Germany between 1919 and 1933. Highlights include the 1919 melodrama “Different from the Others,” widely considered to be the first gay film in cinema history; a block of films focused on “Experimentation/Abstraction;” and “Pandora’s Box,” a silent film about a dancer-turned-hooker who is irresistible to men, starring an unforgettable Louise Brooks.
Tickets: Free with RSVP; $15 for “Pandora’s Box” screening / More Information
